Simon Stock is doing his PhD at KIT-ITIV under supervision of Prof. Stork in the field of AI-supported medical technology using brain-computer interfaces. He started a research collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Before that, he specialised in Systems Engineering (M.Sc.) at KIT in the field of electrical engineering. During his studies, he received the Microsoft Studentpartner Scholarship due to his outstanding qualifications in the IT field and was active as a Microsoft Campus Expert. He also published numerous apps for the Microsoft platform. He developed his enthusiasm for start-ups both during his master’s thesis in the San Francisco Bay Area at Zeiss and during his successful participation in international hackathons. In 2020, he was awarded the prestigious faculty teaching prize for the “Laboratory for Applied Machine Learning Algorithms” for his teaching activities.
